| A Special Spot If you look closely at the sun, you will see sunspot 798 which made September, 2005 one of the most active for solar activity in recorded history. This sunspot spawned solar winds that generated many nights with rich auroras as it traversed the face of the sun. This photograph was taken on a unusually hot and hazy morning as the sun crested a ridge in La Mauricie National Park in Quebec. |
