Lac Walker The day after Katrina landed in Quebec dumping ten inches of rain in ten hours, the landscape was cloaked in fog. Midway through the day, as the fog began to lift, the landscape reminded me of the Alaskan coastline. There are very few deciduous trees in Reserve Faunique de Port-CartierSept-Iles. The rugged granite terrain is covered in spruce and a few pines. I saw many gulls, loons and eagles here, but not many mammals. |
