The Meadows Collection
Lake Superior has boundless vistas of cobalt waters. The Rockies have the majestic grandeur of jagged peaks where clouds seem to live. But a landscape around my home in southeastern lower Michigan has been the focus of my attention lately.
The understated charms of meadows require us to slow down to really appreciate them. Early mornings are their most magical time after the cool black of night sprays the landscape with a coating of dew.
From spring through autumn, grasses and wildflowers continually change. The melodies of songbirds fill the air as orb weaver spiders work diligently on their of architectural wonders. Deer, woodchucks, and cottontails feed on the tender, lush vegetation.

It is a landscape where beauty is found on a much smaller scale and therefore receives little attention. This 'ignored landscape' has given me a small, rich universe to explore.
These images are just a sampling of the views I've discovered.
