In deer herds, one of the social behaviors involves mutual grooming.

On a cold October morning, I photographed these two white-talied does as they wrapped their necks around and groomed each other.

The grand prize was a trip to the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Canada, to photograph baby harp seals during the spring birthing season.
